Taking place April 6-8\, 2014 atThe Hammock Beach Resort in Hammock Beach\, Florida\, the Annual Conference is an excellent opportunity to engage with some of the foremost experts in distance education\, interact with colleagues and reconnect with friends. As a pioneer in online learning\, he brings a unique mixture of broad practical experience and academic expertise. He has been involved with the Sloan Consortium for many years as Director of Special Initiatives\, Effective Practices Editor\, and various other roles. He has been on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks since its inception in 1996 and served as a member of the Council on Academic Management for Army University Access Online (eArmyU). First-time attendees can meet and learn from an experienced DETC member\, while the member gains the opportunity of meeting new colleagues and sharing their expertise. \nDETC Meeting Mentees should be any first-time meeting attendee\, from member or non-member institutions. Mentees should be ready to learn from their mentor and not be afraid to ask questions. \nDETC Meeting Mentors should be from institutions currently accredited by DETC and have at least one year of meeting experience.
