Together, they are 100 business leaders who make up Bizwomen’s Women to Watch list for 2016 and three are from Boston: Liz Cheng of WGBH-TV; Tiffani Faison, chef and owner of Sweet Cheeks and Tiger Mama; and Tracy Pitcher of Comcast Corp.

Each of the 100 women we’re recognizing here was featured earlier this year by one of our 43 sister publications of American City Business Journals. Those local efforts, which all together led to more than 1,000 women being profiled through the year, were our starting point. The staff at Bizwomen consulted with our colleagues from across the country to learn more about the honorees whom they profiled during the year. After those discussions, and followed by additional research and our own internal deliberations, we’re proud to unveil the national list you have here.

Some of these women you might already know. For others, perhaps you know of their companies but you don’t know their individual stories. Or, you might be reading about an executive and her company for the first time. We think each of these 100 is someone you should know. Collectively, they have a record of success that spans decades and they are poised to continue impacting their companies, and their communities, for years to come.
