Massachusetts is enjoying a record year for biotech companies going public. Notably, the pipeline of well-funded, privately held health care upstarts in the state remains strong, too.

CB Insights has a great look at the landscape for health care startups and venture investing in the Boston area, and in particular pulls out the top-funded companies in the health care space that remain privately held. At least nine have raised $75 million or more, including two that have raised at least $200 million. From the CB post:

Massachusetts has thrived as the nation’s most prominent hub for healthcare and medical services and so too has the state’s market for healthcare-related startups. Last year, private life science companies in Massachusetts took in almost $2 billion in financing.
