It’s the IPO slowdown month of August, and we are eagerly awaiting apotentially blockbuster initial stock offering from Wayfair when things pick back up. So I figured this might be a good time to pull together all of the local innovation economy companies who’ve gone public already this year into an infographic (thanks a template from easel.ly).
I count 17 such IPOs in all, which cumulatively have raised about $1.2 billion in funding to grow their businesses (and potentially remain economic engines in the Boston area for years to come).
Clearly, while a number of tech firms are gearing up for a possible IPO in the near future, it’s the local biotech startups that have dominated in that realm so far in 2014.
