Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) said Thursday that shoppers can now charge their electric cars at 12 malls in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The company along with NRG EVgo, a subsidiary of NRG Energy Inc., announced the installation of the new electric vehicle fast-charging Freedom Station stations that can recharge shoppers’ vehicles in 30 minutes or less at the following properties:

• Auburn Mall, Auburn, Mass.
• Burlington Mall, Burlington, Mass.
• Cape Cod Mall, Hyannis, Mass.
• Copley Place, Boston
• Emerald Square Mall, North Attleboro, Mass.
• The Mall at Chestnut Hill, Chestnut Hill, Mass.
• The Mall at Rockingham Park, Salem, New Hampshire
• Northshore Mall, Peabody, Mass.
• Pheasant Lane Mall, Nashua, New Hampshire
• Solomon Pond Mall, Marlborough, Massachusetts
• South Shore Plaza, Braintree, Massachusetts
• Square One Mall, Saugus, Massachusetts

As part of the launch, Simon and EVgo will be offering complimentary charging. Customers can enjoy free charging at these Simon Malls in Massachusetts and New Hampshire starting until Sunday, July 26.
