Boston Ranked Tenth Best American City for Foodies

Bostonians love to dine out.

So it’s no surprise we landed in the top 10 on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of Best American Cities for Foodies.

Each year, Condé Nast Traveler asks readers to rate the U.S. cities that have the best restaurants in its Readers’ Choice Survey. Based on those ratings, Boston ranked No. 10.

Local restaurants given props in the Condé Nast piece included Merrill & Co. in the South End, Alden & Harlow in Harvard Square, and The Merchant in Downtown Crossing.

The No. 1 American city for foodies is New York City, which is home to four of the 50 best restaurants in the world. Only seven of those 50 are in America, according the prestigious San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards, produced by Restaurant magazine.

Check out all 20 of the best American cities for foodies on cntraveler.com.
